What are you influenced by, and what led you to take up photography?

I’m influenced by the saying “Never sleep on opportunity.” I’ve had many late nights editing or talking to people. The people I’ve brought into my circle constantly push me to do things I’ve never done before. I also come from a skateboarding background so I guess I’ve never seen the world normally, always what I could make from what is handed to me.

My father got me into photography. He used to work for a racing magazine in my area and would travel a lot, so I was always around cameras. My parents bought me my first camera when I was really young but being a little kid, I thought nothing of it. It sat in a cabinet for over a year until I came back to it. Now it’s kind of taken over my life.

Do you remember the first photo you ever took? What was it?

I don’t remember the first photo because I was really young but I do remember where I first discovered my love for photography. I come from a skateboarding background where we always want to film and take photos of everything we do to show the world. One day I was skating at my local tennis courts and I happened to bring my father’s camera. When I came home, I thought nothing of it until he asked where his camera was. Then it hit me… I left it there. I went back the day after and of course it was no where to be found. After a couple months, my dad saved up enough to where he could buy another one. He explicitly said I could never touch his photo gear after what had happened, and me being the little kid that never listened to anyone, I took it in the backyard and took some photos of the flowers we had growing. I entered the same photo contest my dad did and ended up placing higher than he did, and ever since that day, he’s been one of the most supportive people in my life when it comes to my photography.

What has been your favorite photo, or series of photos you have ever taken?

Some friends and I took a weekend trip down to South Carolina for the sole purpose of taking photos a couple of weeks ago. It was one of the most eye opening trips I’ve ever taken and that’s no exaggeration. We got a couple killer sets from that trip that I look back at every once and awhile but if I had to narrow all those sets down to just one, it would have to be the ones on Hunting Island. They were on a secluded beach that has been severely eroding over the past years and there’s trees laying down along the whole shoreline.

Who would you love to photograph?

I’ve always had a little crush on Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.

Hypothetical question: It’s the last photo you will ever take, and there is no limit to what you create. What do you capture, where is the location and who is in it?

Friendship is one thing that’s a huge component in my life so the only thing that pops into my head is a bunch of my best friends hanging out on the beach with huge smiles on our faces somewhere in CA.

Whats the most unexpected thing that people could discover about you?

I have one bad obsession for Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos and Mac and Cheese.

We believe that every tee has a story, what is your favorite tee and what is the story behind why it’s your fave?

I bought a Quicksilver shirt a couple years ago when I graduated high school. A bunch of my friends and I went down to Florida for a week to celebrate and we set a day to be in Miami. This shirt symbolizes the start of a new chapter in our lives as being adults.
